Main duties of the jobOxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint an additional Non‑Executive Director to strengthen the breadth and depth of skills around the Board table. This is an opportunity to contribute to the governance and strategic leadership of a large, complex and values‑led NHS organisation delivering mental health, community and specialist services across the South East and South West.
This is a part‑time role, approximately 3 days per month.
As a Non‑Executive Director, the post‑holder will share collective responsibility for the performance, culture and long‑term sustainability of the Trust, providing independent oversight, constructive challenge and strategic support to the executive team.
- Supporting a culture of openness, learning and continuous improvement across the Trust
- Working collaboratively with executive leaders, clinicians and governors to strengthen quality governance
- Contributing fully to Board discussions on strategy, performance, risk and sustainability
- Acting as an ambassador for the Trust, engaging with partners across the health and care system, including integrated care systems, local authorities, the voluntary sector and academic partners
We provide physical, mental health and social care for people of all ages across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Swindon, Wiltshire, Bath and North East Somerset. Our services are delivered at community bases, hospitals, clinics and people's homes, delivering care as close to home as possible.
