M&E Project Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager to deliver a high-value commercial fit-out project in Oxford. The successful candidate will have a strong fit-out project management background combined with solid mechanical and electrical expertise, capable of managing a £10m M&E package from pre-construction through to completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

* Full responsibility for the delivery of the M&E package on a commercial fit-out project

* Management and coordination of M&E subcontractors and suppliers

* Programme management to ensure works are delivered on time and within budget

* Review and coordination of M&E design information, drawings, and specifications

* Chairing and attending progress and coordination meetings

* Ensuring compliance with health & safety, building regulations, and project standards

* Managing commissioning, testing, and final handover of M&E systems

* Liaising closely with the main contractor, client team, consultants, and site management

Key Requirements

* Proven experience as an M&E Project Manager on commercial fit-out projects

* Strong background in both mechanical and electrical services

* Experience managing large M&E packages (circa £10m preferred)

* Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and work streams

* Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills

* SMSTS / CSCS (or equivalent) preferred

* Competitive freelance rate (dependent on experience)

* One-year contract with potential for extension
