Director of Sales & Marketing
Mercure Hotels
Full‑time position on site. Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum.

Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive sales, PR, and marketing strategies across traditional and digital platforms.
- Craft compelling social media content and manage online campaigns to enhance engagement and visibility.
- Build strong relationships with media, influencers, and key stakeholders to support brand and sales initiatives.
- Conduct market analysis, identify trends, and optimize strategies to maintain competitive positioning.
- Manage advertising, promotional activities, and annual marketing budgets.
- Mentor and empower sales, reservations, and business‑development teams to achieve their full potential.
- Collaborate on pricing, revenue management, and forecasting with hotel leadership.
- Strong experience as a Director of Sales or equivalent, with a proven track record at a leadership level.
- Expertise in social media, PR, market analysis, and the hotel market (MICE, agencies, etc.).
- Experience managing budgets and driving revenue through new initiatives and campaigns.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time‑management skills.
- Customer‑focused, detail‑oriented, and a strong team player.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and online platforms.
- Professional and committed, with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
