B Group – a pioneering clean energy ecosystem accelerating the transition to net zero across hydrogen, transport, finance and infrastructure.

We’re now looking for a commercially minded Paralegal to join our growing in-house legal team in Oxford. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal
, you’ll play a key role supporting Ryze Power and wider Group entities across a broad range of commercial, compliance and governance matters.

You’ll play an essential role in supporting the legal delivery of Ryze’s clean hydrogen infrastructure projects
, helping commercial and operational teams move at pace while maintaining strong legal integrity and governance standards.

This is a hands-on, high-trust role with real responsibility, wide business exposure and plenty of scope to grow as the business scales. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and gain end-to-end visibility across live commercial deals.

Responsibilities

You’ll provide legal and operational support across:

Commercial & Contracts
  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating NDAs
  • Supporting commercial contracts (goods & services, consultancy, equipment supply and logistics agreements)
  • Identifying and escalating legal and commercial risks
  • Coordinating internal approvals and managing deal workflows in line with business timelines
  • Tracking contract renewals, expiry dates and milestones
  • Maintaining accurate contract registers, archiving and version control
Legal Operations
  • Maintaining legal templates, precedents and playbooks
  • Tracking legal requests and managing the team’s inbox or task tracker to prioritise work effectively
  • Liaising with internal teams (sales, sourcing, finance, logistics, engineering)
  • Responding to internal legal queries
  • Coordinating with external legal advisers
  • Conducting legal research and supporting ad-hoc legal projects
  • Compiling documentation for legal opinions and internal briefings
Compliance & Governance
  • Supporting internal compliance processes and statutory registers
  • Assisting with corporate governance and company secretarial tasks
  • Supporting Companies House filings across Group entities
  • Coordinating KYC, anti-bribery and conflict-of-interest documentation for new partners and suppliers
  • Supporting board and shareholder documentation (resolutions, appointments, registers of interests)
  • Preparing legal inputs for investor updates and project due diligence requests
What we’re looking for
  • Law degree (LLB or equivalent)
  • Minimum 1 year’s in-house legal experience
  • Experience reviewing NDAs and commercial contracts
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in energy, infrastructure or technology
  • Familiarity with contract management systems or legal trackers
  • Exposure to corporate governance / company secretarial work
  • Interest in hydrogen, sustainability or clean energy

Working arrangements
