Automation QA Engineer

UK-based | Hybrid or Remote | Full-time, Permanent

• Commercial experience testing full stack web applications
• Comfortable using tools like Cypress, Cucumber, and Postman
• Collaborative working style with teams in Agile product delivery environments

You’ll be part of a cross‑functional squad, contributing directly to the development of a large‑scale, user‑focused platform that supports people in taking meaningful next steps in their journey.

You’ll join a wider QA and Dev Ops community that’s actively evolving its approach to automation, tooling, and cloud infrastructure – including a progressive move into Kubernetes and AWS. There’s plenty of space here to shape quality practices, try new tools, and raise the bar on how testing is done.

• Working within a cross‑functional Agile squad to build and test product features
• Leading and supporting manual exploratory testing during sprint cycles
• Writing and maintaining automated tests using best‑in‑class tools and practices
• Collaborating on acceptance criteria and quality gates for new features
• Improving test pipelines and helping build a robust CI or CD process
• Testing APIs, performance and accessibility of the platform
• Supporting QA knowledge‑sharing and promoting continuous improvement
• Exploring and applying GenAI tools in your testing workflow

• Test Automation:
  Cypress, Cucumber, Postman
• Performance Testing: K6, JMeter
• Dev and Ops Tooling:
  Git, Git Lab, Browser Stack, Snagit
• Ways of Working:
  Jira, Confluence, CI or CD pipelines
• Cloud and Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes (currently being introduced)

• Has solid experience testing full stack web applications
• Brings a strong understanding of Agile QA practices
• Has hands‑on experience with automation tools like Cypress or similar
• Has tested APIs, and ideally worked on accessibility or performance testing
• Enjoys contributing to team processes and mentoring others in QA approaches
• Is curious about using GenAI to improve or streamline testing
• Is collaborative, adaptable and proactive in solving problems

• A degree in Computer Science or similar, or equivalent commercial experience
• Confidence in both manual and automated testing
• Good communication skills and a team‑focused mindset
• Awareness of QA tools, methods, and CI or CD practices
• A desire to learn and grow alongside the team
