About the Role

You will oversee digital product expertise within the UK Product team, enabling the creation of relevant, compelling, and effective digital resources and representing customer and UK Education’s needs for new platform developments. This role is guided by digital learning principles and technical production capabilities, and works closely with UK Product Director, editorial and product teams, as well as cross-functionally with technology and centralised digital teams.

The Digital Lead represents the UK’s customer needs across OE-wide platforms and initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment and market relevance, and also takes ownership of data and reporting for UK digital products, delivering insights and enhancing data capabilities.

Duties include:

Strategy & Market Insight
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market needs across UK lists and user needs at all levels.
  • Collaborate with UK senior stakeholders to define and shape digital strategy.
  • Represent UK customers in OE-wide digital initiatives to influence strategy and ensure market fit.
  • Monitor digital publishing trends and competitive offerings in the UK market.
Digital Product Development
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on UK digital platforms, advising on optimal solutions for different subjects and curricula.
  • Partner with the UK Product Director and publishing teams to shape and deliver digital programmes that are effective, achievable, and within budget.
  • Act as a liaison between UK Publishing and the Digital Product Management team, escalating requirements and validating concepts.
Editorial Collaboration
  • Oversee and conduct quality assurance testing during editorial and production phases.
  • Provide training and guidance to editorial teams, authors, and freelancers on digital platforms and tools.
Project & Process Management
  • Lead process improvements and promote best practices to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.
  • Collaborate with Editorial Managers to forecast and plan digital project resourcing.
Data & Reporting
  • Lead data and reporting for UK digital products, delivering actionable insights to publishing teams.
  • Work with OE’s central data teams to enhance reporting capabilities tailored to UK needs.
Financial Oversight
  • Monitor and manage UK digital overheads, ensuring alignment with budget and resolving issues proactively.
Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Support Sales and Marketing teams with digital product knowledge and data insights.
  • Champion the voice of UK customers across OE forums, collaborating across departments and functions.

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
