We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, compassionate, & highly motivated Team Leader Therapeutic Radiographers to join our friendly team at the OXFORD CANCER CENTRE

DoF, RGSC and SRS capability, Siemens CT GoSims, and HDR all networked by ARIA. We are a multi‑site centre with satellites in Swindon & Milton Keynes – 3 sites, 1 team!

To be primarily responsible for leading and co‑ordinating the day‑to‑day clinical operations of the linac in accordance with the policies of the department and trust.

• Manage a caseload of patients, ensuring accurate and consistent planning and treatment.
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team.
• Support and train members of the team to maintain and develop professional and personal skills and standards.
• Assist the Pre‑Treatment and Treatment Lead Radiographers and Radiotherapy Satellite Operational Manager in implementing change within the radiotherapy service.
• Provide expert advice on treatment procedures and treatment‑related side effects and their management to patients and their carers.
• Liaise with other disciplines to ensure total coverage in all aspects of patient care.

• oHCPC registration
• oBSc Radiotherapy
• oEducated to Master (radiotherapy) level or equivalent knowledge in area related to role

• Participation in radiotherapy development work
• Previous NHS experience in Radiotherapy
• Relevant Band 6 Therapeutic Radiographer experience
• Participation in the implementation of a change in practice/new equipment
• Experience using Varian/Aria equipment
• Experience of using Eclipse & Somavision planning systems
• Participation in research

• oSelf‑motivated, has the ability to work as a member of a team, and /or autonomously oEffective personnel management skills, including supervision of junior radiographers, students and other health care workers
