Environmental Health Safety Specialist

Overview

We’re supporting a regulated life sciences site in Oxfordshire that’s seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to provide hands-on, onsite support on a contract basis
.

Working closely with the site EHS lead, you’ll play a key role in supporting safe and compliant operations across laboratories, facilities, and contractor activities in a fast-paced environment.

• Develop and update risk assessments across lab, facility, and construction activities
• Prepare and deliver EHS training for site teams
• Complete and review COSHH assessments in line with UK regulations
• Draft, review, and standardise SOPs
• Support incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Review RAMS and Permits to Work for onsite contractors
• Provide day-to-day EHS advice to operational teams

• Experience in an EHS advisory or specialist role within a regulated environment (pharma, biotech, labs, or similar)
• Strong working knowledge of UK HSE legislation
• Confident producing practical EHS documentation (risk assessments, SOPs, COSHH)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Able to work fully onsite
