Are you a registered and experienced Occupational Therapist looking for a rewarding opportunity to develop your career?

We are recruiting for a full-time Band 6 Senior Forensic Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Oxford Clinic in Littlemore and make a real difference to our patients' recovery journey.

You will be working on Kennet Ward, a male-only medium secure admission and assessment ward with 15 single en-suite bedrooms, an Intensive Care Area which includes a de-escalation suite, seclusion room and a safer room for individuals detained under the Mental Health Act and/or the criminal justice system.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll contribute to risk assessments and use these to keep patients and staff safe. You'll carry out MOHO assessments and use this model to formulate an evidence based treatment plan for your designated caseload which you will evaluate using TOMS and the MOHOST.

This role offers a dynamic and challenging environment where you can showcase your skills and expertise in Occupational Therapy. Your contributions will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to individuals within the medium secure forensic service and help them to reintegrate into a community setting.

If this sounds like the next step in your career, we'd love to hear from you!

Main duties of the job
  • Managing a varied and complex caseload.

  • Providing leadership for junior/non-registered staff and students through supervision and appraisal.
  • Participating in the planning, development, and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy service.
  • Being a key member of the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Contributing to the maintenance and development of the trust-wide Occupational Therapy service.
  • Actively participating in the education of Occupational Therapy students.
