The Oxford Early Intervention Service is a friendly, supportive team with excellent staff retention. We offer specialist training

Essential: Ability to travel for work (UK driving licence and access to a car required).

Main duties of the job

You will be working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team to plan and implement intervention specific to the needs of patients and their carers. This includes attending weekly MDT meetings.

  • Assess and care planning risk, including understanding and applying safeguarding process.
  • Hold a reduced caseload in the community which entails completing highly complex assessments, including the assessment of risk, identifying needs and developing care plans jointly with patients and carers underpinned by evidence‑based practice. You will need to have a good understanding of monitoring risk in the community and to have an understanding and experience of working with patients who experience psychosis.
  • Ensure and monitoring that evidenced interventions for first episodes of psychosis have been provided within recommended time.
  • Cover duty as needed to ensure patients are receiving maximum support to prevent inpatient admissions.
