We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, compassionate and highly motivated Team Leader Therapeutic Radiographers to join our team at the Oxford Cancer Centre. Patients are at the heart of what we do, and we seek Radiographers who deliver care with compassion and respect.

Main duties of the job

To lead and coordinate day-to-day clinical operations of the linac in line with department and Trust policies.

Manage a caseload of patients with accurate and consistent planning and treatment. Liaise with the multidisciplinary team.

Support and train team members to develop professional and personal skills and standards.

Assist the Pre-Treatment and Treatment Lead Radiographers and Radiotherapy Satellite Operational Manager in implementing changes within the radiotherapy service.

Provide expert advice on treatment procedures and management of treatment-related side effects to patients and carers.

Liaise with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care coverage.

Person specification

Education/Qualifications
  • Educated to Master (radiotherapy) level or equivalent knowledge related to the role
Experience
  • Participation in radiotherapy development work
  • Previous NHS experience in Radiotherapy
  • Relevant Band 6 Therapeutic Radiographer experience
  • Participation in implementation of change in practice or new equipment
  • Experience using Varian/ARIA equipment
  • Experience using Eclipse & Somavision planning systems
  • Participation in research
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Understanding of CPD requirements of the profession
