EHS Specialist – Oxford (Onsite)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced EHS Specialist to support a growing GMP facility based in Oxford. This is a fully onsite role working closely with site leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations across laboratories and technical environments.

You will provide hands‑on support to the Environmental, Health & Safety function, contributing to key safety initiatives and helping maintain high operational standards across the site.

• Developing and updating risk assessments across laboratory, facility, and construction activities
• Creating and delivering EHS training for site teams
• Conducting and reviewing COSHH assessments to ensure regulatory compliance
• Drafting, revising, and standardising SOPs
• Supporting incident investigations, including root‑cause analysis and corrective actions
• Reviewing RAMS and Permits to Work for contractors
• Providing day‑to‑day EHS advisory support to operational and technical teams

• 3–5 years of experience in an EHS advisory role
• Background in GMP manufacturing, ideally within biotech, pharmaceuticals, or vaccine development (experience from food / technical industries also considered)
• Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation and best practices
• Ability to produce clear, practical EHS documentation (risk assessments, COSHH, SOPs, etc.)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
• NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum; NEBOSH Diploma preferred
• Ability to work full‑time onsite (no remote options)
