Job Description & How to Apply Below
These positions offer hybrid working, with two days per week in the Oxford office. This role sits in a close-knit team of six who operate collaboratively, with a strong emphasis on knowledge-sharing. Reporting into the Head of Finance, each Finance Business Partner will work closely with a range of stakeholders across the organisation. The role focuses on delivering high-quality management reporting, insightful analysis, and meaningful financial guidance to non-financial teams.
A significant part of the role involves contributing to the organisation’s data and systems transformation, particularly through the development and enhancement of Power BI dashboards and reporting processes, so experience with Power Bi is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities include:
Produce accurate management accounts, variance analysis and clear, meaningful commentary. Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, providing robust insight and constructive challenge. Develop and refine Power BI dashboards, ensuring stakeholders have access to timely, reliable data. Champion data integrity and identify opportunities to streamline finance processes. Work collaboratively within Finance and across the wider organisation to ensure knowledge is shared and operational resilience is maintained.
Support the transition away from historical, less efficient processes, helping to embed modern practices. You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) with a strong background in management accounting and financial reporting. Advanced competence in Power BI, with experience building dashboards and enhancing reporting is essential, as is someone systems-savvy with a continuous improvement mindset. As an individual you will be comfortable working in an evolving environment where process transformation is ongoing;
be collaborative, open with knowledge, and supportive of team development; as well as a confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills. Salary offered is up to £58k with excellent benefits and flexible working. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious university affiliate where there is the chance to influence and shape the organisation's reporting capabilities and be part of meaningful change.
