Interim Senior Accountant
- Oxford (Hybrid) | Circa £350-£400 per day | Interim Contract- 6 Months +

We are working with one of Oxfordshire’s most exciting VC-backed start-ups who are seeking an Interim Senior Accountant to join their finance team during a key period of growth and transformation. This is a hands‑on role, ideal for a qualified accountant who can quickly add value in a fast‑paced environment.

• Support the finance team with month‑end close, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
• Preparation and review of management accounts and period‑end accounts
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances
• Prepare and post accruals, prepayments and journals
• Review Accounts Payable transactions, ensuring accuracy, correct coding and strong controls
• Review and support the preparation of VAT returns, ensuring compliance and timely submission
• Assist with audit preparation, including schedules, reconciliations and responding to audit queries
• Support process improvements and controls during a period of change
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and support to senior stakeholders as required

• ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified/ QBE
• Strong end‑to‑end management accounting experience
• Proven background in month‑end close and balance sheet ownership
• Solid experience reviewing AP transactions and VAT returns
• Advanced Excel skills
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, change‑driven environment
• Available at short notice
