The Role

SF are working with a well-established UK manufacturing business seeking an experienced Financial Controller on a 6-month FTC. This is a hands-on, on-site role supporting the SLT with responsibility for day-to-day operational finance, reporting, and control. The role will suit someone comfortable running the finance function end-to-end while supporting budgeting, forecasting and commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Full ownership of monthly close, management accounts and financial reporting
Oversee day-to-day operational finance (AP, AR, payroll, treasury)
Manage year-end process, audit and statutory accounts
Cashflow forecasting and bank / treasury liaison
VAT, payroll and pensions oversight
Stock valuation, provisions and inventory controls
Budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting with budget holders
Board reporting and support to senior leadership
Maintain strong financial controls, governance and risk management
Commercial analysis to support operational and strategic decisions

Key Requirements

ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
Proven Financial Controller experience in a manufacturing, FMCG or SME environment
Strong operational finance background with hands-on delivery
Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and non-finance teams
Strong Excel and financial analysis capability
ERP experience essential (Dynamics NAV desirable)
Able to commit to 5 days on-site in Oxfordshire
