Site Delivery Manager – Overview

GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for a Site Delivery Manager who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.

Purpose of this role

Ensure compliant, safe, and efficient delivery of all gas assets workload within a geographic area and designated work activities.

Your

Key Responsibilities Are
  • Delivery of works to the appropriate standards, e.g., health, safety, construction, NRWSA, engineering and customer service.
  • Ensuring works are constructed to the approved design and where this is not possible seek approval for a design variation in advance of works commencing.
  • Undertaking site visits with relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with the relevant Senior Delivery Manager and Planning and Scheduling team to ensure optimum use of resources, e.g., personal, equipment, plant.
  • Undertake Toolbox Talks.
  • Undertake technical compliance and SHEQ audits of site activity and personnel/equipment whilst undertaking work – at least one per team per week.
  • Provide technical and supervisory support to team members.
  • Site management of asset related complex projects, e.g., reinforcement, PRI replacement, valve remediation.
  • Assist in gas related incidents and investigations.
  • Participate in a 24/7/365 out of hours standby rota.
Qualifications
  • CP status for RO and FM144.
  • Relevant SHEA card and CSCS registration.
  • NRSWA supervisory card.
Experience/Knowledge
  • Significant recent operational experience in delivering works compliantly, within budget and to customers’ expectations.
  • Advanced knowledge of gas distribution operational procedures and practices.
  • Understanding of NRSWA and its operational implications.
  • Significant recent experience leading teams and individuals to deliver outstanding results.
  • Working knowledge of current Legislation, Technical Standards & Specifications, Codes of Practice and Recommendations relating to Gas systems and operations, e.g., SCO, PTW, NRSWA, E@W, GL5, G5, PSSR.
Abilities / Skills
  • Influence others to ensure they are achieved.
  • Good presentational skills.
  • Good IT skills including work management systems and MS Office suite.
Desirable
  • Eng Tech with a recognised Engineering Institution.
  • CP status (up to 7 bar) PTW, RO, NRO.
Conditions of Employment
  • You are required to have your criminal records checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This is due to going into customers’ homes.
  • You will be required to participate in a standby rota.
  • You will hold a driving licence.
