Overview

We are partnering with a leading Med Tech organisation recruiting for a Field Service Engineer, focused specifically on capital healthcare equipment. The business has a strong engineering culture and a reputation for quality, reliability, and long-term customer partnerships. This role suits a self-driven, motivated engineer who enjoys working autonomously, takes ownership of their work, and brings a positive, can-do mindset to customer environments.

This is a field-based role, primarily covering the South of the UK, with travel across the UK to cover annual leave and busy periods.

Ideal Requirements
  • Proven experience in a field service or technical support role, ideally working within a customer-facing environment.
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in electrical engineering, installation, maintenance, or a related technical discipline
  • Ability to work autonomously in the field, diagnose faults, engineer solutions under pressure, and travel within the UK, including occasional unsocial hours and overnight stays.
Role Responsibilities
  • Install, commission, service, and maintain advanced capital medical equipment used in operating theatres, critical care, and urgent care environments.
  • Act as a trusted technical expert on site, diagnosing faults, resolving breakdowns, and keeping essential clinical systems operating safely and reliably.
  • Deliver hands-on user training and clear technical guidance to clinical and engineering teams, building long-term relationships with hospital customers.
  • Work autonomously across a defined territory, managing your own schedule while being supported by a national service team and experienced technical leadership.
