Instead, our tutors adapt each course to the specific interests and goals of the students attending.
Aboutthe role
Design and deliver your own engaging course that sparks intellectual curiosity and supports students academic development. We re looking for enthusiastic tutors to deliver engaging seminar-style courses to small groups of 13-15-year-olds during summer 2026. You ll design and teach your own curriculum across a 2-week course, fostering a positive classroom environment where students feel challenged and supported.
DatesCourse dates between late June and the end of August 2026.
Pay detailsFrom £32 to £55 per hour. Depends on subject expertise and teaching experience.
Additional BenefitsEnhanced DBS provided (if required). Accommodation and travel expenses not covered.
Working pattern24 hours of seminars across 2 weeks. Teaching takes place on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. 3-4 hour preparation allowance, depending on class size.

Main duties- Design and deliver your own 2-week course:
Prepare and deliver eight interactive and engaging 3-hour seminars tailored to a class of up to twelve students aged 13-15. - Maintain a supportive classroom atmosphere:
Create a welcoming and positive environment where students feel excited to contribute and learn from their peers. - Encourage independent thinking and exploration:
Guide students to develop critical thinking skills and pursue their academic interests both within and beyond the classroom. - Set and provide feedback on assignments:
Support students academic development by setting assignments and offering individual feedback on work submitted. - Write personalised reports:
Compose Letters of Recommendation for your students to help them continue along their academic journey. - Complete mandatory training:
Familiarise yourself with company procedures, logistical requirements and safeguarding through our online induction. - Stay attentive to student welfare:
Monitor attendance and remain alert to student welfare and safeguarding, reporting any concerns to help keep students safe.
You re passionate about your subject and bring creativity and flexibility to lesson planning, adapting to diverse learning styles and classroom dynamics. You re committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and can succeed, and you maintain a strong awareness of safeguarding to ensure a safe and supportive learning space for all young people.
Essential- Possess or be working toward a Masters degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.
- Experience teaching or working with young people in an academic setting.
- Interactive, engaging, and inclusive teaching practice.
- Friendly and professional communications with students and staff.
- Right to work in the UK (we cannot sponsor work visas for this role).
- Experience working with international students and non-native speakers.
- Experience working in academic summer schools.
- Experience designing your own syllabi and lesson plans.
