Job Summary
We work collaboratively with young people, their parent/carers, educational staff and other professionals working closely with children and young people. Key duties include managing traded time within a cluster of allocated schools, developing relationships with SENCOs and school professionals, and supporting the LA with EHCNAs. We are a team of reflective practitioners who value professional development and peer support to ensure that we consistently develop and maintain skills and knowledge.
As a member of the team, you will be well supported through an initial induction period, regular line management and supervision thereafter, with opportunities to develop areas of interest and collaborate with colleagues.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with school professionals, SENCOs and other stakeholders.
- Support the Local Authority (LA) with EHCNAs and other statutory educational requirements.
- Deliver educational psychological services to children and young people, including assessments, interventions, and advice.
- Engage in a consultative/joint problem‑solving framework.
- Provide training and support in areas such as EBSA response, Emotional Literacy, SENCo supervision, Relational Schools Project, Maths course, Postvention training and Critical Incident Support.
- Participate in the development of LA services and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate, compliant records and reporting as required by policy and professional standards.
- Professionally qualified Educational Psychologist (or trainee) with registration to the HCPC. Application for September 2025 or September 2026 start dates is welcome.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational and diary management skills.

- Proficient use of information technology.

- Competitive salary: £51,893–£61,664 per year.
- Additional earning opportunities for EPs with more than one year experience through EHCNA psychological advices.
