SEND Teaching Assistant - Oxford

Monarch Education is seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils in local primary and secondary schools across Oxford
. Whether you're experienced in special needs or looking to start a rewarding new path, we want to hear from you!

About the Role

As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a variety of additional needs, which may include:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Speech & Language needs
  • Moderate / Severe learning difficulties

You’ll be working 1:1 with individual students or providing general classroom support
, helping them engage with learning, develop key skills, and feel confident in school.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting pupils with SEND to access the curriculum
  • Helping create a positive, nurturing learning environment
  • Assisting with classroom activities and learning interventions
  • Encouraging emotional regulation, communication, and independence
  • Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to tailor support
Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need formal TA qualifications - just the right attitude! We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • Patient, caring, and understanding
  • Confident working with children with additional needs
  • Able to build strong, trusting relationships
  • Reliable and committed
  • Looking for a role where every day makes a difference

Experience in support, care, youth work, education or similar settings is a bonus - but not essential.
