A Special Needs School in Wheatley are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their busy team. The school supports primary-age children with a wide range of needs, including Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, learning difficulties, speech and language needs, and physical disabilities.

Every day at the school is different! You will work closely in a class of 8 to 10 students, alongside the class teacher and another teaching assistant, to help create a fun and engaging learning environment.

This Specialist school have a big emphasis on hands-on learning, and making a difference.

You will be:

• Helping students develop real-life skills, through cooking, outdoor education and animal therapy!
• Supporting children with their communication and social skills through sensory play and interactive activities.
• Encouraging confidence and independence within every pupil.

The school are looking for someone who is friendly and caring, with a positive attitude and true resilience. Previous experience working with children is beneficial, whether professional or personal experience. This is an ideal role for anyone looking to gain valuable experience in education, psychology or health and social care.
