This established architectural practice operates from seven offices across the UK, working as one integrated team of nearly 60 professionals. The practice has developed recognised expertise in complex science and research facilities, higher education environments and healthcare projects, delivering schemes across the UK, Ireland and occasionally mainland Europe.
As a Senior Architect – Architecture, Landscape & Urban Design Job in Oxford, Oxfordshire, you will join a supportive studio culture focused on design quality, technical rigour and long-term client relationships.
Role & Responsibilities- Lead architectural design and project coordination across all RIBA work stages
- Oversee and mentor junior team members within the Oxford studio
- Manage planning applications, Building Regulations submissions and contract administration duties
- Prepare and coordinate 2D and 3D drawings using Revit
- Contribute to concept, schematic and detailed design development phases
- Produce technical drawings, specifications, schedules and reports for clients and statutory authorities
- Assist with cost information and project programming in collaboration with consultants
- Undertake site visits and surveys, recording existing conditions and construction progress
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with UK regulations
- Attend and lead project meetings, presenting design proposals to clients and stakeholders
- Support knowledge sharing and contribute to ongoing CPD initiatives
- RIBA Part 3 qualification with ARB registration
- Proven experience within UK architectural practice across all RIBA stages
- Strong design capability alongside detailed technical drawing skills
- Proficiency in Revit is essential
- Sound knowledge of UK planning policy, Building Regulations and contract administration
- Experience working on large‑scale education, healthcare or science projects advantageous
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail
- Good understanding of construction methods, materials and technical detailing
- Interest in sustainable design principles and environmental performance
- Up to £45,000
