Senior Quantity Surveyor

A well-established multi-disciplinary construction consultancy, with a strong reputation across commercial, education, science, and public sector projects, is currently seeking a confident and capable Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Oxford office. This is a client-facing, consultancy-side role offering the opportunity to lead high-profile developments from early feasibility through to completion.

With a national presence and a portfolio that includes complex new builds and refurbishment schemes, this organisation is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with robust cost management expertise and the ability to work independently across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership skills, technical insight, and a collaborative mindset to deliver best-value outcomes for clients.

The appointed Senior Quantity Surveyor will take a leading role in cost planning, procurement, and contract administration on a range of projects across Oxfordshire and the wider South East. Working within a supportive team, you will liaise closely with clients, contractors, and consultants, ensuring accurate cost control, clear reporting, and timely delivery throughout the lifecycle of each project.

• Develop and maintain cost plans and project budgets
• Manage tendering processes and contractor appointments
• Oversee contract administration and commercial reporting
• Lead value engineering, risk analysis, and change control
• Represent the consultancy in client meetings and design reviews
• Support project delivery from pre-construction to final account
• Mentor junior surveyors and contribute to team development

• 6-7 years' Quantity Surveying experience in a consultancy environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple commercial or public sector projects
• In-depth knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (RICS accredited)
• MRICS status or working towards chartership
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• A proactive, organised approach to project delivery

• Salary of 65,000 - 75,000 (depending on experience)
