A well-established multi-disciplinary construction consultancy, with a strong reputation across commercial, education, science, and public sector projects, is currently seeking a confident and capable Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Oxford office. This is a client-facing, consultancy-side role offering the opportunity to lead high-profile developments from early feasibility through to completion.
With a national presence and a portfolio that includes complex new builds and refurbishment schemes, this organisation is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with robust cost management expertise and the ability to work independently across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership skills, technical insight, and a collaborative mindset to deliver best-value outcomes for clients.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor RoleThe appointed Senior Quantity Surveyor will take a leading role in cost planning, procurement, and contract administration on a range of projects across Oxfordshire and the wider South East. Working within a supportive team, you will liaise closely with clients, contractors, and consultants, ensuring accurate cost control, clear reporting, and timely delivery throughout the lifecycle of each project.

Senior Quantity Surveyor- Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cost plans and project budgets
- Manage tendering processes and contractor appointments
- Oversee contract administration and commercial reporting
- Lead value engineering, risk analysis, and change control
- Represent the consultancy in client meetings and design reviews
- Support project delivery from pre-construction to final account
- Mentor junior surveyors and contribute to team development
- 6-7 years' Quantity Surveying experience in a consultancy environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple commercial or public sector projects
- In-depth knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (RICS accredited)
- MRICS status or working towards chartership
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- A proactive, organised approach to project delivery
- Salary of 65,000 - 75,000 (depending on experience)
