Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Operations Specialist to join our Global Commercial Operations team on a 12-month maternity cover contract
.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their Sales Operations, Service Operations, or Business Operations career to gain hands-on experience supporting global commercial processes, systems, and transformation initiatives.

As a key member of the Commercial Operations team, you’ll support the operational rollout and ongoing management of Sales & Services processes
, helping turn process improvements into real-world execution.

You’ll contribute to high-impact initiatives across areas such as Sales & Quoting, Stratified Support models, and Contact Centre as a Service (CCaaS), working closely with stakeholders across the business.

You will:

• Maintain and update process documentation across Salesforce and related systems
• Coordinate input from cross-functional teams to capture as-is and to-be workflows
• Support user stories, process maps, governance, and project documentation
• Coordinate workshops, meetings, demos, and project reviews (including minutes and actions)
• Support system testing and UAT for Salesforce enhancements
• Log issues and track resolution with internal stakeholders and system owners
• Help compile training and rollout materials
• Support reporting on user adoption, engagement metrics, and KPIs
• Gather feedback from frontline teams to inform implementation decisions

You’re organised, curious, and enjoy working across teams to make processes work better.

• 1–3 years’ experience in Sales Operations, Service Operations, or CRM administration
• Familiarity with Salesforce (reporting, accounts, opportunities, cases, activities)
• Understanding of user stories and acceptance criteria
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

• Exposure to quoting tools, service platforms, or pricing processes
• Experience with JIRA or ticket management tools
• Familiarity with customer lifecycle or funnel reporting
• Experience supporting global or matrixed teams
• Interest in AI-enabled tools (e.g. Salesforce Einstein, chatbots, knowledge systems)
