Reports to: Director of Mission Systems

Location: Office/Hybrid (UK only) with travel to our office in Summertown, Oxford and client sites.

As a Mission Systems Manager
, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth across the UK National Security community, including central government departments, agencies, and delivery partners.

You will own the end‑to‑end commercial lifecycle, from market engagement and opportunity qualification through bid execution, contract negotiation, and account expansion. This is a sales‑led, commercially accountable role that requires a strong understanding of complex stakeholder environments and procurement processes.

As part of this role, you may be required to work from partner locations.

You should be willing and eligible to apply for and obtain a UK security clearance if you do not already hold one.

Areas of Impact
  • Own revenue delivery for National Security, including pipeline generation, opportunity management, forecasting, and deal closure
  • Lead the full sales lifecycle, from early customer engagement and bid shaping through to contract negotiation and award
  • Execute complex National Security bids, defining win strategy, pricing, and commercial models aligned to company objectives
  • Articulate the value of Mind Foundry’s AI, translating technical capability into clear operational and mission outcomes for customers
  • Build and grow senior customer relationships across the UK National Security ecosystem, including government customers, primes, and partners
  • Expand and develop accounts, securing follow‑on work, programme growth, and long‑term engagements
  • Act as the commercial bridge between customers and internal teams, ensuring solutions are deliverable, scalable, and commercially sound
  • Provide market and customer insight to inform product direction and National Security strategy
Core Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles, ideally within National Security, Defence, government, or similarly regulated environments
  • A track record of owning revenue targets and closing complex, high‑value deals
  • Strong understanding of structured sales processes, pipeline management, and bid governance
  • Confidence operating with senior government and industry stakeholders
  • Commercial acumen, resilience, and the ability to navigate long and complex sales cycles
  • Technical literacy and the ability to sell advanced software or AI‑enabled solutions
Desirable
  • Experience selling directly into UK National Security organisations or agencies
  • Familiarity with National Security procurement routes, frameworks, and contracting models
  • Existing relationships within government departments, agencies, primes, or system integrators
