SALARY: £25,392 to £26,728 per annum pro rata (Actual Salary for Part‑Time
Hours:
£15,962 to £16,801 per annum) + Benefits
LOCATION: Oxford, Oxfordshire
JOB TYPE: Part‑Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 22 Hours per Week, Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 1:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 12:30 pm
JOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to join a supportive Property Services team within a professional office setting. This role plays a key part in ensuring visitors and staff receive a positive, safe and well‑managed experience.
As a Facilities Assistant you will act as the first point of contact for visitors, support reception services, manage facilities requests and help maintain high standards across the office environment. You will work closely with colleagues, contractors and suppliers to support day‑to‑day operations.
The Facilities Assistant role is well suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in organisation and is motivated to deliver excellent customer service. You will contribute to health and safety compliance, office administration and facilities coordination across the site.

DUTIES- Front Of House Support:
Meeting and greeting visitors, including customers who may require additional support - Reception Management:
Managing sign‑in procedures, notifying hosts promptly and maintaining security processes - Customer Service:
Responding to enquiries where possible and escalating issues appropriately - Office Presentation:
Maintaining reception, meeting and interview rooms to a high standard - Facilities Requests:
Responding to tasks logged via the facilities service desk - Starters and Leavers:
Supporting staff onboarding and changes, including s and photographs - Post and Deliveries:
Managing internal and external mail, franking and courier services - Contractor Supervision:
Overseeing cleaning and maintenance contractors to ensure safe working practices - Office Supplies:
Ordering stationery and welfare consumables and monitoring stock levels - Health And Safety:
Completing building checks, reporting issues and supporting compliance activity
ESSENTIAL
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English
- Previous experience in a customer‑facing or office support role
- Confident using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- A positive, flexible and service‑focused approach
DESIRABLE
- Experience supporting facilities or reception services
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures in an office environment
- Experience working with service desks or internal request systems
- 25 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays, increasing with service (pro rata)
