Interim -End Accountant

Year-End Accountant (Interim - Day Rate) - Oxford - SMEDuration: 4 months

We are supporting a well-established SME based in Oxford that is seeking an experienced Year-End Accountant for a 4-month interim assignment. This role will play a key part in supporting the business through its year-end close and statutory reporting period. You will need to be based in the Oxfordshire office 3 or 4 days per week.

Due to the interim nature of the role, only applicants available to start within 2 weeks can be considered.

• Leading and delivering the year-end close process

• Preparation of statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP

• Liaising with external auditors and responding to audit queries

• Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring accuracy

• Supporting cash flow reporting and financial controls

• Identifying and resolving accounting issues efficiently in a hands-on environment

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

• Strong year-end and statutory accounts experience within an SME environment

• Confident working autonomously in an interim, delivery-focused role

• Solid technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail

• Experience working with auditors and tight deadlines

• Strong Excel skills; exposure to SME accounting systems is advantageous
