Overview
Miami University’s Communications and Marketing department has been charged with building and maintaining the university’s brand on a local, regional, and national stage. This dynamic and award-winning team is comprised of nearly 70 marketing and communications professionals and is looking to hire an administrative assistant.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of complex administrative tasks involving some discretion and moderate independent judgment related to the daily operations of University Communications and Marketing. Monitors and reviews operations; ensures smooth workflow and that work product meets professional standards. Serves as an informational resource to staff; investigates and resolves problems related to area of expertise. Assists university staff, faculty, and students; answers inquiries and provides information.
May oversee staff; assists in enforcing policies and procedures; establishes schedules and reviews performance. Gathers and analyzes statistical information regarding programs and activities and produces reports. May assist in financial and budgetary tasks including preparing and monitoring budgets, preparing fiscal reports, or processing payments; may maintain inventory of supplies.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires nine months of coursework or training beyond high school in Business Administration and three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and expertise.
