The OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Operations Team working on Data Center, Vehicle Manufacturing, or General Build Construction projects.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the success and seamless execution of construction projects. Your responsibilities include assisting the Management Teams with all technical aspects of project management, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards. Technical support involves participation in construction planning and design, interpreting designs, applying construction methods, resolving design conflicts, conducting constructability reviews, and processing shop drawings.
You will also develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures, manage documents in the Prolog database, and oversee material reports, RFI process, and meeting minutes.
You can be based anywhere in the US, with willingness to travel long-term to client projects.
Responsibilities- Project Execution: Ensure engineering activities comply with requirements and support construction schedules. Provide technical support, participate in planning, interpret designs, resolve conflicts, and manage shop drawings.
- Budget Management: Monitor expenditures, track financial progress, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Resource Management: Lead and support project teams, coordinate with subcontractors, and resolve on-site issues to maintain quality and schedule.
- Risk Management: Represent the company in meetings with A/E, clients, and project teams.
- Technical Support: Serve as the key technical person, possibly managing small to medium projects.
Must have:
- 4-year engineering degree or equivalent training and experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant construction engineering experience.
- Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.
Ideally, candidates will also have:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to implement management strategies to improve project and team performance.
- Strong technical knowledge in construction and engineering processes, procurement, project controls, and contracts.
- Proficiency in budget management, financial forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Experience in risk assessment and mitigation.
- Ability to adapt in fast-paced, changing environments.
