About the Position

Cindavi is seeking a Mechanical Engineer at the associate to mid-level to support the design and development of highly customized armored vehicles. This role is a key technical contributor within the engineering organization and plays a critical role in enabling production to work proactively rather than reactively.

You will focus heavily on 3D CAD design, electromechanical integration, and vehicle-level layout work
, collaborating closely with production, wiring, and manufacturing teams. This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer who enjoys variety, creativity, and working on complex, real-world vehicle builds rather than repetitive or purely theoretical design work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain 3D CAD designs for customized armored vehicle builds across multiple programs and customers
  • Support full vehicle-level design
    , including layouts completed ahead of production to improve build efficiency
  • Create and modify designs related to electromechanical systems
    , including preparation for wiring harness integration
  • Work closely with the wiring department to ensure accurate routing, color coding, and system compatibility
  • Support multiple concurrent vehicle programs, ranging from basic builds to highly technical government and specialty projects
  • Collaborate daily with production and floor teams to ensure designs translate cleanly into manufacturing
  • Assist with documentation, drawings, and engineering changes tied to customized vehicle builds
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to form, fit, and function of vehicle systems
  • Interface with engineers across different divisions, including core armored vehicles, refurbishment projects, and government programs
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 3–5 years of mechanical engineering or CAD-focused experience
