Overview
The substitute is assigned to work in the absence of a regular employee to aid the department or school he/she is assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the department head or principal.
Minimum Qualifications & Education- Food Service, Clerical, Teacher Assistant
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bus Driver
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Teacher
- Valid Mississippi educator's license OR
- (4) four-year college degree OR
- Be enrolled as a junior or senior in college majoring in education or in an academic area related to the area of the vacancy
- Food Service Worker: $9.00/Hr
- Clerical: $12/Hr ($15/Hr for Retired Employees)
- Bus Driver: $18/Hr
- Teacher Assistant: $100/Day
- Teacher (Currently Enrolled): $125/Day
- Teacher (College Degree): $140/Day
- Teacher (Certified): $150/Day
- Long-term Substitute Teacher: $160/Day
