AboutThe Candidate / Role
Tradewind Aviation is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic to work out of either our Westchester, NY or Oxford, CT base locations. The individual should be attentive to detail and have exceptional problem solving and diverse mechanical skills. Must be flexible with work schedule; this position will begin on the night shift, with a strong likelihood of transitioning to the third shift once proper training has been completed.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Performing all airframe and power plant maintenance on our fleet of turboprop aircraft
- Maintaining hangar equipment
- Performing other assigned duties
- FAA A&P license (2+ Years of experience preferred)
- Valid US Driver’s License + Clean Driving Record
- Valid passport without travel restrictions
- Eagerness to learn and willingness to train
- Required to maintain an adequate set of tools
- Must be willing to travel to various parts of the Caribbean and the Northeast US for short periods of time
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Strength to lift 50lbs, and the ability to work in confined spaces
