Overview

Meat Cutter and Wrapper at Sam's Club. Pay range: $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

This role involves helping with the quality, packaging, and display of meat items, while delivering excellent customer service in the meat department. You will be on the front line of customer service, and your attention to detail and steady hand help ensure a quality product for our members.

• Be a Team Member:
  Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicates with the team; and is flexible to work in other areas as needed.
• Be an Expert:
  Demonstrates knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepares meat products according to established standards; cuts boneless meat products; maintains product quality standards.
• Be a Techie:
  Uses digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; uses handheld technology to make immediate decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
• Be an Owner:
  Maintains operational excellence and a clean, organized work area; ensures quality and date control standards for meat products; secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminates waste; assists members with purchasing decisions; ensures merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored per policies.
• Be a Talent Ambassador:
  Advocates for the department and club by valuing the member’s experience in the meat area and modeling high-quality service and products; demonstrates energy and commitment for the work.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; uses the Open Door Policy in daily work practices.
• Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifies priorities and deadlines; communicates progress and information; seeks opportunities for improvement and adapts to change.
