Campus Safety Officer (Part-time)

Join the Baker College Campus Safety Team and help create a secure, welcoming environment for all. As a Campus Safety Officer, you’ll play a key role in protecting students, faculty, staff, and visitors by patrolling assigned areas on foot or vehicles, monitoring buildings and grounds, and responding to emergencies.

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or in vehicles.
• Monitor buildings and grounds; respond to emergencies.
• Enforce campus rules and provide escorts for lockouts or jump‑starts.
• Report safety hazards, investigate incidents, and secure facilities.
• Monitor parking areas, collaborate with law enforcement when necessary, and serve as Campus Security Authority per the Clery Act.

• Two years of full‑ or part‑time work experience in law enforcement, military, or security.
• Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field preferred.
• Valid Concealed Pistol License and valid driver’s license.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR/AED.
• Must meet all Michigan state and Baker College qualification requirements.
• Required to carry a firearm; provide a personally owned semi‑automatic pistol (9mm or .40 caliber) and a suitable holster with at least level II retention.
