Join the Baker College Campus Safety Team and help create a secure, welcoming environment for all. As a Campus Safety Officer, you'll play a key role in protecting students, faculty, staff, and visitors by patrolling assigned areas on foot or in vehicles, monitoring buildings and grounds, and responding to emergencies. Your responsibilities include enforcing campus rules, providing escorts and assistance such as lockouts or jump‑starts, reporting safety hazards, investigating incidents, and securing facilities.
You'll also monitor parking areas, collaborate with law enforcement when necessary, and serve as a Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act. - Enforce campus rules.

- Serve as Campus Security Authority under the Clery Act.
- Two years of work experience in law enforcement, military, or security (full‑ or part‑time).
- Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field preferred.
- Valid Concealed Pistol License.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR/AED.
- Meet qualifications set forth by Michigan law and Baker College.
- Required to carry a firearm with employment; authorized to provide personally owned semi‑automatic pistol (9 mm or .40 caliber) suitable for duty use; chief firearms suitability determined by Director of Campus Safety.
- Provide and use a quality holster with minimum Level II retention; suitability determined by Director of Campus Safety.
