RN - MedSurg​/Tele

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Every Other Weekend

The Registered Nurse will work under the supervision of the unit Supervisor/Manager/Director, delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

• Assess the physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients upon admission.
• Formulate and implement a written care plan based on patient assessments.
• Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Promote patient independence by teaching them about their condition and care skills.
• Adhere to therapeutic standards to assure quality of care.
• Utilize multidisciplinary team strategies to resolve patient needs.
• Maintain continuity of care through thorough documentation and communication.
• Recognize changes in patient status and provide appropriate interventions.
• Participate in continuous education and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure a safe and compliant environment adhering to all policies and protocols.

• 2+ years of Med Surg experience.
• Experience floating to PCU.
• Proficient in telemetry.
• ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Must be able to read and interpret heart rhythms.
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the floor.
