Adjunct Automotive Instructors ignite the next generation of technicians by bringing real-world expertise into the classroom and delivering dynamic, hands‑on instruction aligned with the standards of the ASE Education Foundation, empowering students to earn industry‑recognized credentials and achieve their Certificate or Associate degree in Automotive Technologies.

RequirementsTogether the requirements for the position are:
Candidates must hold ASE certification in Automotive Service Technology or Diesel Service Technology, with an associate degree in a related field preferred, and a high school diploma or GED required. Applicants must possess at least five years of related work experience in automotive repair technologies, or two years of related experience combined with an associate degree in a related area.
The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in current automotive repair technologies, accurately identify proper diagnostic and repair procedures, and preferably have experience with various OEM diagnostic software programs. Strong written communication skills are essential, including the ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. The role also requires effective presentation skills to engage students, managers, customers, and the general public, along with the ability to analyze and resolve problems involving multiple concrete variables within standardized situations.
