The Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program in Owosso seeks a qualified and motivated Clinical Coordinator to support excellence in clinical education.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary liaison between Baker College and affiliated clinical sites, developing new partnerships and maintaining existing relationships to support high-quality clinical education and effective student placement.
- Coordinate all aspects of clinical instruction and student placement under the supervision of the Program Director; support student achievement through program-specific instruction, advising, orientation, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring of student progress in the clinical setting.
- Maintain regular communication with Clinical Instructors to ensure compliance with learning objectives and site contracts.
- Manage required documentation for student placement and evaluation; ensure completion of PPE requirements; evaluate and approve waiver hours based on relevant student work experience.
- Conduct onsite clinical visits; facilitate student advising; contribute to continuous program improvement through curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation support.
- Teach assigned courses, attend system meetings, and maintain professional expertise, ethical standards, and all required academic and professional credentials to ensure compliance with college and accreditation requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with appropriate credentials, including RDMS (AB and OB) or RT(S) preferred; an Associate's degree with appropriate credentials, including RDMS (AB and OB) or RT(S), required.
- Minimum of five years of experience in general ultrasound is preferred.
- Familiarity with online education platforms; willingness to travel.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
