Brescia University is searching for a newly created VP of Athletic Affairs/Athletic Director. This person reports directly to the President and is as a member of the University’s senior leadership team. The VP/Athletic Director leads all aspects of athletics and is responsible for the successful performance of all athletics programs, coaches, staff and student athletes reflective of Brescia’s mission and values.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership and sound decision-making that adheres to the highest standards of integrity regarding all Athletics Department matters, including fiscal affairs, personnel, strategic planning, facilities and general operations
- Promote an atmosphere that advances the holistic development of student-athletes and their integration into campus life with particular attention to graduation rates and academic progress
- Assure gender equity and full compliance with Title IX
- Recruit, mentor and retain strong, ethical and talented coaches to foster success
- Strengthen all sports to be competitive at the highest possible levels
- Bachelor’s required, master’s preferred
- Five years of progressive experience managing people and budgets, within or without higher education, with an understanding of athletic operations.
