Company/Location Overview

The Glenmore Distillery has been a fixture in the Owensboro Community since the late 1800s. During Prohibition, The Glenmore Distillery was fortunate enough to be one of four distilleries in the country allowed to operate on a limited scale for medicinal necessity.

In March of 2009 the Sazerac Company purchased the distillery and reprised the name The Glenmore Distillery. The distillery boasts one of the largest and most modern bottling facilities in the country and continues to be a sizable employer in the city of Owensboro, KY.

Our company is currently experiencing exciting growth and with this growth comes a need for solid leadership at each and every one of our Sazerac facilities. The Distillery is currently in search of an experienced manager as an Assistant Bottling Manager to develop plant supervisors as well as hourly production employees. The Assistant Bottling Manager position is responsible for, but not limited to:

• Manage the safety programs for the Bottling Department through development and execution of safe practices, process documentation and insure understanding of SOPs to minimize severity of workplace accidents. Monitor and enforce all OSHA and Company safety regulations and policies. Direct responsibility for Bottling Supervisors and Bottling staff to reduce injuries and improve safety KPIs with the target of zero recordable injuries
• Meet and exceed customer expectations through efficient management of line efficiency targets and stretch goals for the Bottling Department. Manage deliverables of product on time, within budget and to meet all quality specifications. Work with the Shipping Department and Customer Service Department to deliver results to improve the SOAR Report, Order Fill Rate and on time shipments
• Monitors and enforces all Company, OSHA, EPA, labor agreement, safety regulations, rules and policies. Leads Root Cause Corrective Actions for sustainable improvement.
• Responsible for managing departmental supervisors and support personnel to achieve target & stretch plans. This role supports the department manager to accomplish Safety objectives, Quality Standards, Company Policies, Good Manufacturing practices and Production requirements within specified budgets.
