The EVS Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Environmental Services team to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the facility. This position plays a vital leadership role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation across all public areas, employee work spaces, and back‑of‑house facilities. By managing daily operations, assigning tasks, conducting inspections, and supporting team development, the EVS Supervisor helps ensure a positive guest and staff experience.
The ideal candidate leads by example, ensures compliance with health and safety standards, and contributes to the overall success of facility operations.
- Supervise and lead the Environmental Services (EVS) team to ensure all areas of the facility—public, employee, and back‑of‑house—are consistently clean, sanitized, and well‑maintained.
- Assign daily cleaning tasks to team members, providing clear instructions and ensuring timely, high‑quality completion.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance; provide coaching, training, and support to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
- Develop and manage work schedules based on business volume and operational needs to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs and inspections of the facility to identify and address cleanliness or maintenance issues promptly.
- Oversee deep cleaning procedures and special projects, ensuring proper techniques and safety standards are followed.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of high‑priority areas, including restrooms, dining spaces, and gaming floors, in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; monitor usage and reorder materials as needed to avoid shortages or waste.
- Distribute cleaning supplies at the beginning of each shift and ensure proper usage and accountability throughout the day.
- Report equipment issues, repair needs, or supply concerns to the Facility Supervisor and/or Director of Facilities in a timely manner.
- Respond professionally and efficiently to guest concerns or complaints related to cleanliness, taking swift corrective action to resolve issues.
- Promote a safe and pleasant environment by ensuring that all areas are hazard‑free, organized, and presentable.
- Interact positively with guests, providing helpful information or support related to facility cleanliness and guest comfort.
- Support a culture of cleanliness, safety, and excellence through leadership, accountability, and teamwork.
- Perform all other job‑related duties as assigned to support department and facility operations.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities to coordinate schedules, assign tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with team members, guests, and management.
- Proficient in using basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and maintenance management or scheduling software.
