Maintenance Equipment Operator

Operates equipment and machinery;
Performs maintenance and labor as needed regarding street/stormwater operations. Performs various construction/roadwork duties, such as working with asphalt, dirt, concrete, or other activities. Starting pay $22.9444/hr.

• Performs concrete finishing operations.
• Monitors/maintains City streets/alleys.
• Smooths, levels, and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures.
• Operates backhoes, mini excavators, front loaders and skid steers to perform street and stormwater operations.
• Performs minor maintenance on heavy trucks.
• Performs routine and preventative maintenance on streets, street signs, property, facilities, stormwater drainage ways.
• Performs snow and water removal.

• High school diploma or GED, and
• 1 yr. experience as road worker, equipment operator, concrete finisher, or similar position (Equivalent amount of education and/or experience is acceptable).
• Valid driver's license.

• Valid CDL, Class B or higher.
