K-3 After School Program Receptionist

Reports To:

After School Program Supervisor and K-3 Campus Principal

Schedule:

The ASP Receptionist works 2:45 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. each day that school is in session.

This position is for the  school year.

The After School Program (ASP) Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for parents and guardians picking up students from the After School Program. This position supports the safe, organized, and efficient dismissal of students by verifying authorized pick-up adults, communicating with ASP staff, and directing parents to the correct student locations.

• Greet and assist parents/guardians as they arrive to pick up their child(ren) from the After School Program in a friendly and professional manner.
• Verify parent or guardian identification and ensure the individual is listed as an authorized pick-up person for the student.
• Confirm that each student is signed out properly on the ASP roster before dismissal.
• Direct parents/guardians to the appropriate student location (such as the gym, cafeteria, playground, or other designated stations) after sign-out has been completed.
• Respond to and communicate via radio with the ASP supervisor and other ASP staff to coordinate student dismissal and address questions or needs.
