Senior Manager

Accountable to:
Senior Manager, Saugeen Ojibway Nation Environment Office

Terms of Employment:
Full Time Permanent

Salary: $61,000 to $72,000 (depending on experience)
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week (some evenings and weekend may be periodically required)
Job Location:
Wiarton, Ontario (Not remote work) regular local travel in SON Territory

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative assistant role
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working within an Indigenous community
Recommended

Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an administrative role preferably non profit or government organization
  • Previous experience in political office to understand protocol and processes
  • Post secondary education in a related field
  • Ability to communicate Anishinaabemowin is not required but highly preferred

Job Description:
  • Manage the Joint Council calendar and scheduling of meetings
  • Collect agenda items from leadership, EO staff, legal and/or proponents to assist with the preparation of agendas, attend meetings, record minutes and follow-up on action items
