Position Title: Energy Sales
Reports to: Energy Sales & Marketing Manager
Effective Date: February 2026
Position Objective: The team member will market products and programs in a manner that optimizes the cooperative’s market share and savings and results in outstanding customer service and relationships.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Sell and market CFS energy products and programs
- Assist in establishing sales goals and developing marketing plans
- Communicate with CFS management the needs of the customer base
- Develop long‑lasting, profitable business relationships with customers and resolve complaints
- Assist with LP and refined fuel delivery as needed
- Complete all required reports and paperwork
- Know and follow all company safety policies and procedures; perform work safely and observe all traffic laws and OSHA regulations
- Adhere to the company credit policy and work with the credit department on collection processes
- Represent yourself and CFS professionally at all times in action and appearance
- Make decisions and follow instructions with little or no supervision
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor or management
- Post‑secondary education in sales and marketing or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication and sales skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn various software programs, including Microsoft Office
- Background or education in agriculture and/or energy business
- Valid driver’s license (a CDL‑Class A is preferred; CFS will assist in obtaining a CDL)
- Maintain insurability requirements per property and casualty insurance guidelines
- Obtain and retain required industry training and certifications
- Valid driver’s and acceptable driving record
Will be subject to outdoor temperature fluctuations and may require extended hours.
Physical DemandsAble to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; have full use of arms, hands, and legs; possess good finger dexterity.
