We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Minnesota and Iowa to work Monday‑Thursday, daytime hours. The position involves driving the mobile unit and performing patient studies in Owatonna and New Prague, MN and Decorah and Charles City, IA.

Schedule

Monday: Owatonna

Tuesday: New Prague

Every other Wednesday: Charles City or Owatonna

Thursday: Decorah

Essential Duties
  • Perform imaging procedures that meet the quality expectations of the patient, referring physician, and radiologist.
  • Follow the orders of the referring physician and protocols specified by the radiologist.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by the physician order.
  • View images to ensure quality and transfer them to the radiologist for interpretation, verifying that patient information arrived correctly.
  • Explain medical procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have.
  • Follow safety procedures to protect patients and maintain safe exposure limits.
  • Monitor and observe any unusual reactions patients may have to drugs.
  • Maintain detailed procedural records.
  • Comply with safety and quality procedures and initiatives by strictly following safety policies, rules and safe work methods; report hazards and injuries promptly.
  • This position requires travel up to 100% of the time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Additional Responsibilities

    In addition to patient care, mobile nuclear medicine technologists drive the mobile unit to customer locations. Technologists maintain the truck, checking and maintaining fire extinguishers, patient lift, smoke detectors, emergency lighting, scheduling and documenting preventive maintenance. Technologists inspect the truck before and after each trip and submit a report indicating truck conditions. Technologists maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience
    • Minimum of an Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management, analytical, organizational, empathy, critical thinking skills.
    • Must be able to multi‑task while maintaining great patient care and superior quality of exams in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
    • Ability to work well independently with limited direct supervision.
    • PC proficiency to access internet websites, review online documentation and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Testing
    • CNMT or ARRT (N)
    • CPR certified
    • CDL B endorsement and DOT annual physical certification
    • Mandatory education provided by DMS
    • State licensure if required
    Required Vaccinations and Health Requirements

    MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella);
    Varicella (Chickenpox);
    Hepatitis B Series;
    Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis); annual Influenza vaccine; COVID‑19 vaccination, if required by facility policy;
    Tuberculosis screening (annual or per facility guidelines).
