ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Manager of Maintenance Training is directly responsible to the Director of Maintenance. The Manager of Maintenance Training must possess a valid A&P Certificate and have experience on equipment, systems, and policies and procedures being taught.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Organize and conduct initial or recurrent training classes for Basic Indoctrination, General Familiarization, Inspector Basic Indoctrination, Required Inspection Items, RVSM, and other training as required by the Director of Maintenance or Quality and Engineering.
- Maintain the recurrent maintenance training program.
- Maintain vendor training files for Fueling, Pushback, De-Ice, Lavatory and Potable Water servicing.
- Maintain FAA license verification for Omni Air International personnel and contract maintenance personnel.
- Perform ETOPS duties as defined in the ETOPS Policies and Procedures Manual (EPPM).
- Perform duties significant to the Lower Minimum Maintenance Program (LPM) as specified in GMM chapter 12.
- Develop and revise training material, manuals, or curriculums as required to meet operations requirements.
- Establish, implement, and distribute training schedule.
- Responsible for the continuous administration of the maintenance training files of all maintenance and inspection personnel.
- Maintains all personnel training records.
- Updates the qualification summary sheet as personnel qualifications change.
- Develops and updates the ETOPS training program.
- Incorporates changes to the training program to correct program deficiencies.
- Maintains the training syllabus.
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license and some avionics basics preferred.
- Manager and Instructor experience preferred.
- Strong computer and organizational skills.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport which allows unrestricted travel to all the countries where OAI may fly.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 years heavy maintenance experience on B767 and/or B777 Fleets.
- Valid A&P License.
- Sit 50% of the time.
- Stand 50% of the time.
