Overview

Join Sprouts Farmers Market as a Deli Clerk and help guests find healthy, fresh foods while working in an energetic, fast‑paced environment.

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing “fresh and easy meals.”
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure that deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented.
• Maintain cleanliness of the deli department area.
• Filling, maintaining, and rotating products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment (meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales) following company standards and procedures.
• Keep the deli area and equipment clean, safe, and sanitary.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality.

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent; experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field preferred.
• Dependable, reliable, and friendly with a positive attitude.
• Flexible schedule – able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and shifting hours as needed.
• Good communication skills, ability to take direction, and work in a team environment.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Must be able to lift/carry 70 lbs. and stand continuously for 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping, cleaning, and sanitizing duties.
• Operate slicers, wrapping, and cooking equipment safely.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; maintain a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in various temperature environments (cooler and freezer).
• Other related duties as assigned.
