• The Monitor Technician observes and analyzes the cardiac rhythm of patients on telemetry and hardwire monitor under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• The Monitor Technician must demonstrate competency in cardiac arrhythmia, accurate record keeping and logging.
• The Monitor Technician is responsible and accountable for following established policies and procedures and established standards.

• High school or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course (within 30 days).

• Previous experience.
