Summary
Provide physical therapy and related services, maintain positive interactions with facilities and clients, adhere to state and federal regulations, and supervise assistants and rehab technicians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Optimize patient functioning by delivering or overseeing physical therapy
- Provide consultation and clinical supervision to PTAs
- Directly supervise PTAs and rehab techs during group and individual treatment, ensuring efficient use of resources and ongoing skill development
- Build and maintain a strong physical therapy program
- Enhance clinical and management skills through collaboration and continuous education
- Maintain a valid state license and stay informed about profession‑related issues and healthcare environment changes
- Apply knowledge of payment models, billing, and treatment guidelines, ensuring quality care and appropriate outcomes
- Comply with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocols
- Read, write, speak, and comprehend English for instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports
- Graduate of an APTA‑accredited school of physical therapy (required)
- Valid state license to practice physical therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in clinical documentation and basic computer skills
- Commitment to professional growth and compliance with regulatory requirements
